We went her twice while visiting Dillon, Montana and enjoyed digging for crystals. We found a few points, mostly clear with a couple being nearly an inch in length. Make sure and bring a small shovel…Full review by 577SusanH

I believe it is May 15th when the park opens. This time of year there is still snow everywhere.
