Safety is probably the second most frequently discussed topic about the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps at the moment, only behind compensation for the spectators of the rain-stopped 2021 F1 race.

Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, home to the Belgian Grand Prix, holds a special place in the Formula One world as one of the seven tracks that were part of the inaugural World Championship in 1950.

Drivers' Championship leader Oscar Piastri secured pole position for the Belgium Grand Prix Sprint Race, setting a blistering time which rival Max Verstappen could not beat. Piastri cleared Verstappen by more than four-tenths and cleared his teammate Lando Norris by six-tenths.

After a brief pause, Formula 2 returns to the legendary Spa circuit, ready to shake up the drivers’ standings once again. Following a three-week break, Formula 2 resumes with the ninth round of the 2025 season at the iconic Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
