Officials have suspended a search for a 6-year-old boy who fell from a boat ramp into the Housatonic River in Stratford on Wednesday afternoon. Crews said they are no longer actively searching and switched over to a recovery mission before ultimately suspending search efforts.

Multiple crews have been searching for the boy, who fell in the water around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, officials said.
