In the days before millions of Americans are expected to take to the streets to protest President Donald Trump, Florida officials warned protesters.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – With thousands of protests planned across the country on Saturday, Jacksonville officials urged residents to keep the protests peaceful. The protests are part of a nationwide organized event dubbed “ No Kings ,” against President Donald Trump’s administration.
A sheriff in Florida threatened his community on Thursday, stating that if any protesters get violent or break the law, they will be killed.
More than 2,000 "No Kings" protests are planned for Saturday, June 14, around Florida and the United States. The protests coincide with Flag Day, President Trump's 79th birthday and the U.S. Army's 250th anniversary celebration and military parade taking place in Washington, D.C.
A group of senior citizens will take to the streets on Saturday to participate in a day of protest. Residents from Belmont Village Senior Living in Coral Gables will rally from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Le Jeune Road and Altara Avenue.
