Ford Motor Company recently issued multiple recalls, affecting over 42,000 vehicles, for issues that can potentially increase the risk of fires and crashes, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Ford Motor Co. has issued recalls for more than 1.3 million vehicles, with many made at its two Louisville-area plants.

At issue is a faulty B-pillar trim application stemming in part from a design change at Ford's assembly plant.
