Kate Middleton says she is in remission from cancer in a lengthy post to Instagram on Tuesday, in which she thanked the Royal Marsden Hospital for her 'exceptional' care throughout chemotherapy.

Princess Kate made the announcement on social media after visiting the London hospital where she received treatment.

"As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.
