The Los Angeles Rams were saved from an offseason dilemma when quarterback Matthew Stafford quickly agreed to a restructured contract to remain with the team, but it sounds like they had a backup plan in mind if he chose not to return.

I suppose I’ll never know whether or not this is a fact, but the reports/rumors are that the Pittsburgh Steelers really wanted Matthew Stafford in their building over Aaron Rodgers. I’m not sure if that is surprising,
