The Lebanese army has begun deploying to the coastal town of Naqoura following the withdrawal of Israeli troops as part of a ceasefire agreement reached in November, the United States and Lebanon said on Monday.

The Israeli Army has withdrawn from the western sector of south Lebanon, enabling the Lebanese Army's deployment in coordination with the UN.

The Lebanese army Command announced on Monday that its units have begun deploying in Naqoura, in coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), after the Israeli Occupation withdrew from it.
