LOS ANGELES (AP) — Netflix’s new reality show, “Building the Band,” unexpectedly became Liam Payne’s last major appearance — moments the show’s hosts say they, along with contestants and viewers, are lucky to have.

Much like Niall Horan’s tenure as a coach on The Voice, which he’s returning to for the season about to air on the 2025 TV schedule, Payne was able to use his own experience from X Factor and his career to help and encourage the contestants on Building the Band.

The late One Direction band member died in October 2024, after filming Scherzinger's new music competition show.
