Over 100 people have died after heavy rain pounded Kerr County, Texas, early Friday, leading to "catastrophic" flooding, the sheriff said.

Donald Trump congratulated Texas officials on what he called a "great" response to the flash floods, insisting that the death toll could have been higher.

Emergency responders continue to search for missing people and local police said efforts have been slowed by "sightseers who are making things worse."
