Vancouver Whitecaps FC agreed to send general allocation money to FC Cincinnati for Thomas Muller's discovery rights, a league source told UPI on Tuesday.

Muller is expected to sign a deal that will not require a designated player (DP) spot in 2025, but would jump to a DP deal in 2026.

The Vancouver Whitecaps are finalizing a deal to sign German legend Thomas Müller, sources tell GIVEMESPORT. Vancouver have agreed in principle to acquire the "discovery rights" for Müller from FC Cincinnati, which was the last hurdle before the Whitecaps sign the player, sources say.
