JACKSON, Miss. ( WLBT /Gray News) - A Mississippi state senator has filed a bill titled the “Contraception Begins at Erection Act.” The bill, written by Democratic Sen. Bradford Blackman, would make it “unlawful for a person to discharge genetic material without the intent to fertilize an embryo.”

A Mississippi Senator has filed a “Contraception Begins at Erection Act” in a bid to “bring men into the conversation” around reproductive rights. After Trump took office this week, he stated that there are “only two sexes” and vowed to end “the government policy of trying to socially engineer race and gender into every aspect of public and private life”.
