New Delhi: Zomato Ltd on Thursday announced that its board has apporved the change of name of the company to Eternal Ltd., marking a significant transformation in its corporate identity. Deepinder Goyal, CEO, Zomato made this announcement on his official social media handle on X by posting the formal announcement letter.

Eternal is not a new name that Zomato had adopted suddenly, instead they first used the name when the company acquired quick-services application, Blinkit.

The Zomato app and brand name will remain unchanged. Blinkit grew materially larger than Zomato’s food delivery business in the past year. A number of analysts estimate that Blinkit will grow to account for as much as 70% of the group’s value in the coming year.

(Reuters) -Indian food and grocery delivery platform Zomato said on Thursday it will rename the company to "Eternal" and unveiled a new logo, a move that comes more than two years after it began using the new name internally.

In a letter to shareholders, Deepinder Goyal said the company board has approved the name change, requesting shareholders to also support this change.
