The Browns traded the veteran quarterback as well as a sixth-round draft pick to the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported. The news comes after Flacco was benched for Cleveland’s Week 5 game against the Minnesota Vikings in favor of rookie Dillon Gabriel. The Browns will receive a fifth-round pick.
In total, the Browns are paying eight quarterbacks in 2025, despite only having three on the roster currently. Dillon Gabriel is making $1.1 million, Shedeur Sanders is making $955,000, and Bailey Zappe is making $315,000.
