The Dodgers knocked off the Philadelphia Phillies, 2-1, in 11 innings Thursday, winning the NL Division Series in four games, and now advance to the National League Championship Series to face the winner of the Milwaukee Brewers - Chicago Cubs series on Monday.

The Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago Cubs saved their playoff hopes with wins on Wednesday. After dropping their two home games to the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Phillies bested the Dodgers in L.A. with an 8-2 win behind hot fourth and eighth innings and two Kyle Schwarber homers.

Tyler Glasnow threw six scoreless innings and Roki Sasaki had three perfect innings of relief as Dodgers pitchers matched Cristopher Sánchez, Jhoan Duran and Phillies' pitchers until they won it in the 11th.

All along, though, the Phillies planned to bring Ranger Suárez into the game behind Nola. Thomson said before the game that he wanted to bring Suárez in for a clean inning. With Shohei Ohtani due to bat second in the third inning, Thomson apparently decided it was time for Suárez.
