Jalen Hurts, NFL and Eagles

The No. 3 Philadelphia Eagles came into Sunday's wild card NFL playoff game against the No. 6 San Francisco 49ers with concerns about veteran offensive tackle Lane Johnson. The two-time All-Pro first team selection has not played because of a foot injury since a Week 11 win against the Detroit Lions in November.
The Philadelphia Eagles are one-and-done in the playoffs, losing 23-19 against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Big days from Christian McCaffrey (114 all-purpose yards, two touchdowns) and wideout DeMarcus Robinson (six catches for 111 yards and a touchdown).
Inefficient offense once again plagued Nick Sirianni's squad in a 23-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers over Wild Card Weekend, as the Eagles' 11-6 season finished with a first-round exit. All year, however, the defending Super Bowl champions had appeared discombobulated -- especially offensively.
“No, I think the season’s just kind of gone the way it has,” Hurts said. “The approach this year, and how the games have been called with this coordinator — with coach [Kevin Patullo] — it’s just kind of gone that way. And so, I’ve just kind of taken it in stride and tried to give my best with whatever position I’ve been put in.”
Hurts has had a new offensive coordinator in each of his seasons in the NFL, but this season has gone differently.
The Philadelphia Eagles have a tough matchup coming up on Sunday as they attempt to get through the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.
Eagles success could hinge on Jalen Hurts having a better showing than he did vs. Robert Saleh during their last encounter.
