Berry still finished as the Tigers' leading rusher, taking three carries for 45 yards. His first touch of the game went for 36 yards. LSU's other three running backs ran for a combined eight yards. Quarterback Michael Van Buren followed Berry with 24 yards on 11 carries.

Instead, the No. 5 Tigers (14-0) routed Alabama State 109-41 in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, punctuating their most dominant nonconference slate of the last five seasons with yet another lopsided victory. BATON ROUGE, La. – In its final non-conference bout before opening up Southeastern Conference action, the fifth-ranked LSU women’s basketball team defeated Alabama State, 109-41, Sunday afternoon inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

LSU leads the nation in points per game (107.9), average margin of victory (54.4), field-goal percentage (55%) and offensive rebounding rate (56%). Only one Division I team is grabbing more boards per contest than the Tigers (51.1), who also rank fourth nationally in 3-point percentage (40%) and fifth in steals per game (15.5).
