San Diego Comic-Con is officially set to kick off its first international event this September.

Comic-Con International ( SDCC) is setting sail for Málaga, Spain. Through an agreement facilitated by IMG Licensing, the acclaimed event is traveling outside the U.S. for the first time. A European debut is slated for September.

Malaga will be the first international San Diego Comic-Con branded event. There are, however, several Comic Con Experience events held across the globe, including Brazil, Germany, and Mexico.

San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) is hosting its inaugural international event in Malaga, Spain, from September 25 to 28. This expansion marks SDCC's first step outside the U.S., bringing its unique pop culture celebration to European fans and creators.
