The NFL no longer has an unbeaten team. The Buffalo Bills squandered their perfect start Sunday night, falling 23-20 to the New England Patriots at Highmark Stadium in a mistake-filled performance that tightened the AFC East race.
The Patriots and Bills play Sunday in Week 5 of the 2025 NFL season. It's expected that Patriots left guard Jared Wilson will start after missing last week's game. Defensive tackle Milton Williams, who is currently listed as questionable, is also expected to play.
Diggs had a game-high 10 catches for 146 yards in New England's 23-20 upset win over the Bills at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y. Many expected the former Pro Bowl wideout to have added motivation in his return to Buffalo, and the performance suggested that was the case.
New England opens with a bootleg pass to Stefon Diggs (who else?), who promptly finds open grass for a first down. But then the Bills defense counters immediately, swallowing up Rhamondre Stevenson's first carry and then sacking Maye on third-and-long. Already we can see this matchup will be a test for the Patriots' offensive front.
