Fox, YouTube TV reach a short term deal to avoid a disruption in service. That's good news for Longhorns fans who want to watch Texas-Ohio State.

Texas vs Ohio State is the top game on Week 1 college football schedule, but a dispute between Fox and YouTube TV could leave viewers in the dark.

At 5:02 p.m. ET on Wednesday, just minutes after the deadline, YouTube TV confirmed via social media that a “short-term extension” had been reached with FOX. The update assured customers there would be no immediate loss of service.

YouTube TV's parent company, Google, released a statement on Aug. 25, announcing that it's agreement with Fox "is approaching its renewal date," and if the two sides are unable to reach a new agreement by 4 p.m. CST on Aug. 27, then YouTube TV would remove all Fox content from its platform.
