The figurehead of the populist right in the United Kingdom has pledged to deport hundreds of thousands of asylum seekers and withdraw the country from international human rights treaties.

Nigel Farage's Reform UK set out plans this week for the mass deportation of asylum seekers from Britain, which would involve withdrawing from human rights treaties and working with authoritarian governments to take back their citizens.

Farage said his party, which is leading in national opinion polls, would remove Britain from the European Convention on Human Rights, repeal the Human Rights Act and disapply other international treaties that have been used to block the forced deportation of asylum seekers.
