The New York Knicks are currently looking around the NBA to find a new head coach for the team. After New York dismissed veteran head coach Tom Thibodeau, the Knicks have been frantically searching for a new leader.

This last week, during the New York Knicks coaching search, Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd’s name kept coming up. Finally, after our poll was up and running, the Knicks actually asked official permission to interview Kidd. Finally, the Mavericks said no, putting the kibosh on this whole idea (we think).

Even though the New York Knicks' requests to interview Jason Kidd and Billy Donovan have been turned down, there's some thought at least one of them could still become available to them.
