The Krasheninnikov volcano sent ash six kilometers into the sky. This eruption follows an 8.8-magnitude earthquake in Russia’s Far East on Wednesday.

The eruption of the Krasheninnikov volcano comes just four days after an 8.8-magnitude earthquake struck the geologically turbulent peninsula on July 30.
