Nintendo has announced that Nintendo Treehouse will be making its grand return this week, with a double-bill of presentations planned for 3rd and 4th April. The presentations will take place at 7am PT / 10am ET on both days (full regional time breakdown below), and Nintendo has promised that each will showcase "hands-on gameplay" of Switch 2 games.

Day two of the Nintendo Treehouse: Live stream begins at 10AM ET / 7AM PT / 3PM BST. The showcase will broadcast on April 4 and, if yesterday's stream is any indication, will likely last four hours. We expect to see more of what's been revealed, from new games to familiar spruce-ups from the Switch and GameCube.

Switch 2 preorders were originally supposed to go live today but were halted by Nintendo in the U.S. and Canada after President Trump’s latest round of tariffs threatened to torpedo its original $450 price.

Experts are starting to chime in that over time, Switch 2 prices may be 20% higher if Nintendo is impacted by tariffs to a significant degree.

Now, the reveal of the Switch 2's Joy-Cons are giving the publisher a real chance to compete in the shooter market once again. Nintendo hasn't strayed from porting major FPS games to the Switch. Classic games Doom and Quake are available alongside contemporary titles like Superhot and Dusk.
