With no funding deal reached, deep service cuts to SEPTA bus, train and trolley services in the Philadelphia region are looking more likely.

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) announced on Thursday that, with the state's budget 45 days overdue, the authority is moving forward with cuts that would amount to 20% service reductions and a 21.5% fare increase.

The lack of a deal leaves several questions for passengers across the Philadelphia region, including residents who take public transit to work and students heading back to school in two weeks.
