People gathered for a funeral for a baby whose mother is accused of giving birth to her in a Whataburger restroom and attempting to flush her down a toilet.
"I had to take a minute, and just like tears of joy. I just did not want her to be in a pauper's grave. She didn't deserve that, after what she'd been through."

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – Baby Mary, who was found in a Whataburger toilet last month, will be laid to rest on Friday. Baby Mary’s funeral will be at 1 p.m. at the Faith Outreach International located at 3806 Sunshine Ranch Road, according to the Eagle’s Flight Advocacy and Outreach.
Due to the snow, businesses closed and school was canceled. However, Whataburger kept its drive-thru open, as it did during Winter Storm Uri in 2021. When Uri occurred, local photographer Paul DiGiovanni took drone shots of a long line forming around the Whataburger location on Broadway.
