Ichiro Suzuki, CC Sabathia, and Billy Wagner have been elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame. The players and then the public learned the results of the 2025 vote by the Baseball Writers Association of America on Tuesday.

If that vote was given to a player who deserves to stay on the ballot, then why are MLB writers and baseball fans upset that Suzuki wasn't a unanimous choice?

The bad news is that Andruw Jones will have to wait at least one more year. The good news is that he is on a path similar to the one traveled by former Braves closer Billy Wagner, one of the baseball’s new Hall of Famers.

Ichiro Suzuki had a fantastic career in the MLB. The slugger played 19 seasons, mainly with the Seattle Mariners where he did nothing but turn heads with his play and personality.

Mariners great Ichiro garnered support from 393 of the 394 Baseball Hall of Fame voters, tying Derek Jeter for the highest percentage among position players.
