Tua Tagovailoa’s task in the Dolphins’ Sunday game against the San Francisco 49ers might get tougher, as a key wide receiver is in danger of missing the matchup due to a knee injury. Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins are gearing up to face the San Francisco 49ers at home in what will be one of their final three regular-season games.
A hip injury landed Tua Tagovailoa on the Miami Dolphins injury report this week. It won’t keep him from starting in Week 16, though. Jaylen Waddle, on the other hand, is unlikely to go.
Tagovailoa completed 33 of his 47 passes (70.2 percent) for 331 yards and two touchdowns, including a game-winner to Jonnu Smith in overtime. Tagovailoa put his stamp on the game in the fourth quarter and overtime by efficiently leading the Dolphins offense on three clutch drives.
