CHARLOTTE — Police are searching for a suspect in an interstate shooting that happened in north Charlotte on Friday. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said shots were fired on I-85 at the I-77 interchange near Beatties Ford Road Friday morning.
The driver of the Honda, Aaron Sipf, 32, was arrested and transported into the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office. He is being charged with two counts of felony hit-and-run and one count of resisting an officer, according to the sheriff’s office.
An American Airlines employee was killed during an accident on the tarmac at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, officials say.
