Soto drove a 2-1 fastball from left-hander Colton Gordon over Clover Park’s center field fence in his first at-bat in Mets uniform on Saturday.

Prized free-agent signing Juan Soto went yard in his first at-bat with the New York Mets during spring training on Saturday.

Soto homered off of Houston Astros pitcher Colton Gordon during the bottom of the first inning, giving him the first home run of his time with the Mets. “Get used to it,” the team account shared on social media after Soto homered.

Soto hit second in Saturday's spring training opener between All-Star shortstop Francisco Lindor and newly-resigned first baseman Pete Alonso. The perennial MVP candidate teased his unofficial Mets debut Saturday morning on Instagram. “On deck ⚾️,” Soto wrote.

PORT ST. LUCIE — Technically, Juan Soto has already worn a Mets uniform and there are photos to prove it. But come Saturday afternoon, he’ll wear blue and orange for the first time in front of fans when the Mets open their spring slate against the Houston Astros at Clover Park.

Juan Soto was the premier free agent during this past offseason. He was courted by multiple teams in the hopes of acquiring the 26-year-old superstar. Ultimately, Soto chose to sign with the New York Mets. His 15-year, $765 million deal is the largest in baseball history and should keep him in Queens for the remainder of his career.
