Some people feel there is a brewing quarterback controversy for the 49ers between incumbent Brock Purdy and backup Mac Jones.

After how things ended for Jones in New England, there were questions if Mac Jones was going to end up a bust after being drafted in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
