For some of those teams, that will involve finding new head coaches and/or General Managers. Three teams fired their head coaches during the season and two more have been dispatched as of 9 a.m. ET on January 6.

A week after firing Jerod Mayo, the New England Patriots officially announced Mike Vrabel as their new head coach. All signs pointed to the hiring the moment the news of Mayo’s firing hit. That speculation was amped up even further when the team started hosting interviews a couple of days later.
