The St. Mary’s Park community parking lot in Monroe is expected to reopen by the end of November after extensive renovations.

City officials had hoped to increase bathroom capacity at Woodward Park and save taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars in the process.

The City Council Oversight Committee heard a presentation Thursday from Throne Labs, a company that manages portable public restrooms, about utilizing portable restrooms in city parks.

The restrooms are located at Redwood Lodge and can be accessed through the exterior entrances next to the picnic area.
