Pinellas County is planning a nourishment project on Treasure Island after the storms eroded much of the beach last year.
In many areas of Treasure Island, residents and business owners are still recovering from last year’s back-to-back hurricanes. Some businesses have reopened, but others remain shuttered.

Sunset Beach community members raise money and do what they can to support hurricane survivors displaced by the storm.
