The updates affect more than 60 tax provisions and are expected to apply to virtually all returns filed in 2027 for the 2026 tax year.

The IRS released updates for tax year 2026, adjusting tax brackets, standard deductions, estate tax exclusions and various credits for inflation and the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

Inflation adjustments and the new tax law will combine to give taxpayers more relief.
