Schools across Whatcom County are closed Monday after overnight snow and freezing temperatures created icy road conditions, making travel difficult. Drivers are being asked to stay off the roads in areas from Bellingham to Blaine. Most streets are covered in compact snow and ice.
Schools closed in Whatcom County, Seattle area after Western WA snow
Public schools are closed in Bellingham, Lynden and around Whatcom County, where chilly air from Canada dipped temperatures to the teens early Monday. Whatcom Community College closed its campus, but online classes are still happening. Western Washington University’s campus was closed until 10 a.m.
