The reigning Formula 1 champion has been linked with a move away from Red Bull as soon as this winter, with Helmut Marko admitting recently that there are real concerns in the team about whether they can keep their star man.

Former Formula 1 driver Johnny Herbert says the most sensible option for Max Verstappen would be to leave Red Bull and join Aston Martin next year. A relatively tough start to the season for Red Bull has led to doubts over Verstappen seeing out his deal with the team until the end of the 2028 season.
