Outside Lands is the largest independently owned music festival in the United States and draws more than 200,000 people each year. But when the first music set began at 1 p.m., the throngs hadn't arrived yet, and it was a more intimate audience for emerging artist Emilia Moore on the Lands End stage.

Outside Lands, one of the biggest music festivals in San Francisco, opens today in Golden Gate Park. In 2025, Outside Lands will celebrate 17 years of incredible music, top-notch food and drinks, stunning art, and unforgettable experiences.

Over three fog-filled days, Golden Gate Park transformed into a genre-hopping paradise where hip-hop, R&B, and pop collided with indie rock, electronic, and more. With a mix of global superstars, hometown heroes, and breakout talents, the festival kept fans moving, singing, and sometimes bundled up against the San Francisco chill.

Music lovers once again descended upon Golden Gate Park for the Outside Lands Festival. This year's festival, which runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, features seven stages for music performances and more than 100 artists.

A man was arrested and accused of selling illegal drugs at Golden Gate Park during last weekend’s Outside Lands festival, the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) announced in a press release. Around 3:40 p.
