According to The Rock, it was in the story's best interest to distance himself from Rhodes and Cena.

Finally, The Rock is explaining what happened at WrestleMania. On Tuesday morning, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson appeared on “The Pat McAfee Show” to explain his absence at the two-day event and offered some notes on what things he thought could’ve used some tweaking.

Cena went on to win the match against Rhodes and won a record 17th world title. Shortly after taking home the win, he revealed on Monday’s episode of The Pat McAfee Show that he received a hair transplant. “It’s coming in,” he said while pointing at his hairline. “I listen to you idiots, I do.”
