Cowboys defense atrocious again, Panthers win 30-27 on 6-minute game ending drive
The Cowboys were unable to continue their ascent, failing to create a winning streak and bringing up more questions about their defense.
Tied 27-27 with a little over six minutes remaining, Carolina capped off a 15-play, 71-yard drive with the game winner. The Panthers had ample time to work after a stalled final drive for the Cowboys, who failed to convert on third-and-22 and were forced to punt.
Once again, the Cowboys' defense struggled as quarterback Dak Prescott and the Dallas offense did their best to pick up the slack. Prescott finished the game with 261 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions on 25 of 34 passing.
The Dallas Cowboys were destroyed by Rico Dowdle and after the game, Jerry Jones was roasted by a North Carolina restaurant.
