Nvidia is kicking off CES with a big keynote next week, and everyone is pretty sure they know at least one thing that's going to be announced. When the PC hardware company takes the stage on Jan. 6, it's widely expected that Nvidia will lift the veil on the GeForce RTX 5000 series of graphics cards.

A new rumor claims the Nvidia RTX 5080 could arrive soon. According to a now-deleted post on X from Hong Kong media outlet HKEPC (via Tom’s Hardware ), the company’s desktop GPU will launch on January 21.

One leak suggests that Nvidia’s upcoming RTX 5090 for mobile could support as much as 24GB of video memory, which would be a significant chunk of VRAM compared with its predecessor. The RTX 4090 for laptops has 16GB of VRAM.

Nvidia will announce RTX 5080 on January 6, and it may release on January 21. RTX 5080 is rumored to have 10,752 CUDA cores, 16GB GDDR7 VRAM, and more affordable than RTX 5090. January will also see AMD's RDNA 4 GPUs and Intel ARC B570 launch.
