A pressure campaign is building on the Senate to confirm President-elect Trump's controversial cabinet picks such as RFK Jr., Tulsi Gabbard and Pete Hegseth. NBC News' Ali Vitali has the latest reporting from Capitol Hill.

In a statement, Trump transition spokesperson Alexa Henning noted that no Republican senator has publicly said they would vote against Gabbard.

Republicans have thus-far remained quiet about Tulsi Gabbard and her chances to succeed in her bid to take over as director of national intelligence.

During her time in Congress, Gabbard also praised Vladimir Putin for bombing Isis in Syria, while the Obama administration would not. She also spread the conspiratorial idea that “biolabs” funded by the United States across the world — which do not exist — could unleash “dangerous pathogens .”
