The acclaimed horror director, best known for his collaborations with the powerhouse art film studio A24, has revealed that he was asked by Sony Pictures and Marvel Entertainment to direct the 2022 superhero film Morbius,
And, it seems that despite movie critics generally loving Aster's films (he directed Midsommar ), the reviews for Eddington are less than stellar. Right now, the film holds a 67 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, which is just enough for the movie to be considered "fresh."
Sony reportedly approached a small-time horror director to helm Morbius, but he ultimately opted not to sign on.
Martin Scorsese gave Ari Aster's Eddington a positive review, calling the movie frightening for its take on America's current climate.
