New episodes of the My Hero Academia prequel series will stream the same day it airs in Japan. Though the main My Hero Academia anime series is set to end later this year, its gritty prequel is about to make its streaming debut on Crunchyroll.

A prequel to popular anime “ My Hero Academia ” is coming exclusively to Sony’s Crunchyroll streaming service outside of Asia next month.

Vigilantes, a prequel to the popular series, will premiere on April 7 on Crunchyroll for audiences outside Asia. The show follows Koichi Haimawari and his vigilante companions as they fight crime without government approval.

Vigilantes will be here April 7, and Crunchyroll has revealed that it will be offering a simultaneous release. The anime series, which is based off a manga by Hideyuki Furuhashi, Betten Court, and Kohei Horikoshi,
