President Donald Trump wasted no time implementing many of his campaign pledges, signing a flurry of executive orders over the opening days of his second term, including on immigration, energy, and diversity,

The orders include declaring a national emergency to deploy military personnel to the border, suspending refugee resettlement and ending birthright citizenship.

From ending birthright citizenship to declaring an emergency at the southern border, Trump signed several orders restricting immigration.

“Today, I will sign a series of historic executive orders. With these actions, we will begin the complete restoration of America, and the revolution of common sense,” said Trump, who at midday Monday became only the second U.S. president to serve nonconsecutive terms, after Grover Cleveland in the late 1800s.

The president-elect is readying a blitz of executive orders that he plans to issue just hours after he is sworn into office.
