EDIT: I actually had never noticed before that Drake's Heavy Frame is just a flat statement, and not tied to any particular attack type.

Sep 14, 2021 · Blackbeard 1's chain axe is a good alternative to the pike since it shreds armour and you can do a lot of chip damage with the Caliban's shotgun butt and Tortuga's siege ram. Synthetic Muscle Netting though won't do anything that the Caliban won't do on it's own. This is all I can think of off the top of my head. GL with your build.

Sep 11, 2023 · You can't. This specifc combination requires 3 levels in caliban, 2 in atlas, and one each in blackbeard, tortuga, zheng and lancaster. Mechanically, it isn't making use of many of its licenses yet. So, while you still can not make this build functional at LL4, you can be partially "online" at LL6. Take 3 in caliban, 2 in atlas and 1 in blackbeard.

Apr 18, 2022 · I'm currently playing in a Lancer game at LL5. My licenses so far are Raleigh 2 and Caliban 3. My combat strategy is pretty much just fire Cannibal shotgun -> spend turn boosting or locking on to reload with Raleigh's Full Metal Jacket -> repeat. Honestly, I feel like I have everything I want.

Feb 13, 2024 · Caliban obviously since you can turn that 2d6+2 into 4d6+2 if you can knock a target into an obstacle and also have Juggernaut (which is a no-brainer pick for any caliban build). Grappler builds likewise get great value out of Brawler 1 but not the rest of the Licence (Knockout blow is nice to have but again falls prey to the full action cost).

This number is the Caliban and it is designed for one job: removing people from ships as efficiently as possible. Not my cup of tea (I prefer my frames a bit larger), but I can respect it. Well, that and my employers are quite insistent I keep my frames in house.
