Dec 8, 2024 · To one of your later points, I'd rather have one big, fleshed-out game than a series of addictive mini-games, BUT only if we're talking about games on the scale of those from the Lynx's original era. With modern games, I'd prefer something relatively simple like a shmup to a huge 60-hour campaign like RPGs.

The Lynx was no longer the only color portable on the market, and Sega had more marquee titles scheduled for their system. Eventually the Lynx was squeezed out of the picture and the handheld market was dominated by the Nintendo GameBoy with the Sega Game Gear a distant second.

May 26, 2007 · The Lynx doesn´t have too many games, so we´ll keep the list at 25 games. I know that "best game" lists have been done before, and there was a poll a while ago on the best games. But this time, I´m not closing this. The lynx board is somewhat slow, so this will be opened forever (if the mods don´t delete it or the world ends, of course )

Tramiel wasn't simply "cheap," he like others Siegel complained about in that interview (often quite comically), just had completely wrong ideas about video games, retail, and business in general.

Mar 10, 2024 · Comparing game lineups, I think the Lynx's greatest limiting factor compared to the Game Boy and Game Gear is that it's a very arcade-centric library. The Game Boy and Game Gear libraries on the other hand were modeled much more after the types of games were popular on the NES/Master System at the time.

Feb 12, 2003 · The game was going to be originaly released in stores, when the Lynx and Atari were still alive. My guess is that it probably would have cost around $49.95 though, which is on the high end for Lynx games.
