Jon Loomes became involved with music at the tender age of six when he started having piano lessons. In his teens he toured the world with the National Youth Choir. But then, in 1991, he saw Martin Carthy play and his musical direction changed completely. Since studying music at Goldsmith's he has been performing in bands and as a solo ever since.
