History Photographed on Instagram: "Kush Kosh is a West African percussion instrument more commonly known as a Kashaka or Asalato. ⁠ ⁠ The instrument consists of two small hollow gourds or balls connected by a short string. ⁠ ⁠ The balls are filled with small pebbles, seeds, or beans, which create a rattling sound when shaken.⁠ ⁠ To play the kashaka, one ball is held in the palm while the other is swung around the hand."
