Impasto is a technique used in painting, where paint is applied thickly. Using a palette knife you can add layers mixing the colours together directly on the canvas. You can use this technique with both oils and acrylics. In this video I am using heavy body acrylic paint and I add an extra heavy gel by @goldenpaints to thicken it even more.
